Code of conduct for dancers and parents

1. Class Fees

Fees must be paid promptly at the beginning of each month.

Fees are payable by cash or card.

Uniform orders must be paid for at the time your order is placed.

2. Class absences

Please contact us via text, Facebook messenger or email if your child will not be in class.

All students are given a 3 lesson holiday allowance which covers any form of absence. After this, all class absences will be charged for.

3. Cancelled classes

In the unlikely event that a teacher cancels a class, we will let you know as soon a possible. The fee will be deducted from the following month's fees.

4. Dance exams

Dance Exams are held several times a year.

Dance Exam Fees are set by the association and once paid, refunds cannot be given.

Exams are optional, your child will be entered for the level that the teacher deems appropriate.

5. Dance Shows

Our annual dance show is held in May each year.

Dance costumes are required.

Tickets for the audience are required.

6. Class uniform 

Uniform is compulsory and all uniform items are available to order through the Studios.

7. Anti Bulling policy

Bullying will not be tolerated by any pupil, parent or teacher.

We reserve the right to ask the pupil/parent to leave.

A more detailed policy is available on request.

8.  Property

Please ensure all items are labelled with your name.

Spotlight Studios are not responsible for any property that is lost, damaged or stolen during classes, exams or shows.

Please do not bring any valuables to class or to the theatre or competitions.

9.  Social Media 

We are on Facebook - @SpotlightStudiosEdwinstowe is our main page for information and updates.

Please respect privacy and do not be offended if you are politely declined on personal social media pages.

If you would not like photographs of your child or their name to appear on our social media page, please make us aware via your registration form.

10. Contact

Please ensure that all contact details are up to date including a mobile phone number.

11. Class Rules for students

Please arrive to class 5 - 10 minutes early.

Uniform is compulsory .

Hair must be in a bun, tied back or smartly groomed.

Mobile phones must not be taken out during class.

No jewellery is permitted with the exception of studded earrings.

All students and teachers must be treated with respect.
